Our Aims:

  • To create a positive and forward-thinking space.

  • To have a safe community space where everyone feels supported.

  • To allow any artist to feel welcome no matter what their background.

  • To provide a space to represent those who are otherwise unrepresented.

  • To allow creatives to grow in the art world through promotion, encouragement and opportunities.

  • To help educate and inform people on current issues in the hope of bettering society.

What is Oddball Space?

Oddball Space is an art collective in the UK formed by young artists. We provide free promotion for up and coming artists, a charity art auction to help raise money for current issues as well as other events and opportunities. On our website we host activities as well as publishing blog posts that discuss various topics from current events, artist interviews as well as educational posts about art techniques. We aim to be a trusted group that up and coming artists can feel supported by.

About our team:

Oddball Space was formed during the quarantine lock-down as a way for artists to still engage with the art-world and as a way to help promote up and coming artists. Oddball Space was founded by Hafsah Jamil, Mona Hopewell and Jacob Carter, who are all currently studying Fine art in the UK. Their practices range from traditional painting and body art to experimental music and installation. You can read more about our team here.

Our current projects:

Artist of the Week

We hold a weekly art feature displaying the artwork of an up and coming artist. We also include a Q&A that explores their art practice which is published on our blog.

You can find out more here.

Charity Auction

We receive submissions from artist to sell their artwork in our auction. We post the artwork on our Instagram page and people can bid in the comments. 100% of the money goes to charity and the artist can post the artwork to the auction winner.

You can find more info and apply here.

Our upcoming projects:

Oddball Gallery

On our website we have launched the Oddball Gallery, a virtual exhibition space to share artwork for free. We are currently curating our summer show ‘Locked-Down’ which will feature artwork made during quarantine. If you are interested you can find out more information and apply here.
